Chain Link Fencing for Perimeter Security, Boundaries, and Sports Enclosures

Supplied in GI and PVC-coated options. Diamond-pattern mesh in various gauges and heights. Economical, durable, and quick to install.

What is Chain Link Fencing?

Chain link fencing is made by bending and interlocking galvanised or PVC-coated steel wires into a diamond (rhombus) pattern. The resulting flexible, strong mesh can be stretched between posts to create secure perimeter fencing for properties, sports facilities, farms, and industrial sites.

Galvanised (GI)

Standard zinc-coated steel wire for outdoor durability. The most economical option for boundary fencing, with a typical life of 15-20 years.

PVC Coated

Galvanised wire with an additional PVC coating for enhanced corrosion resistance and aesthetic appearance. Available in green, black, and other colours.

Frequently Asked Question

Trusted in more than 100 countries and 4 million customers.

What gauge should I use for my fencing?

For residential boundary fencing, 12-14 gauge with 50 mm mesh is standard. For security fencing, 8-10 gauge with 37.5-50 mm mesh provides more strength. For highway and industrial use, 10 gauge is recommended.

What height do I need?

Residential: 1200-1500 mm (4-5 ft). Commercial/Industrial: 1800-2400 mm (6-8 ft). High-security: 2400-3600 mm (8-12 ft), usually with barbed wire top.

Do you supply the posts and accessories?

Yes. We can supply complete fencing solutions including GI angle-iron posts, concrete post accessories, straining wire, turnbuckles, and barbed wire. Installation guidance is available.

How long does chain link fencing last?

GI fencing in normal conditions lasts 15-20 years. PVC-coated fencing lasts 25+ years due to the additional corrosion barrier. Coastal areas with salt exposure will reduce the lifespan of plain GI fencing.

Can I get a fencing estimate for my site?

Yes. Share your perimeter length, required height, and site conditions and we will provide a complete material estimate with pricing.
